Maritza Castillo Alfonso is a highly skilled healthcare professional with a deep commitment to patient care. She joined IMA Medical Group in 2024 and brings extensive experience in family medicine, home health, and acute care. Maritza currently serves patients applying her critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to deliver exceptional care.

Prior to joining IMA, Maritza worked in various clinical settings, where she gained a wealth of experience in medical-surgical care, telemetry, and cardiac rhythm monitoring.

Maritza earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Miami Regional University in 2023 and is enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Chamberlain University.  

She is also a licensed Doctor of Medicine with cardiology training from Havana, Cuba, and Mexico City. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maritza is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients.
